Our History
In 1985, ten partners embarked on a journey to build a premier senior living community in Orange County that offers a vibrant lifestyle with peace of mind for future healthcare needs. The partners chose an ideal location in Lake Forest, CA, and Freedom Village was an immediate success. Today, the same ten partners own and operate Freedom Village and a second community, The Village, in Hemet, CA.
Freedom Village is unique because there is no financial institution that holds a mortgage on the community. Just 18 months after Freedom Village opened, the partners paid off the mortgage. Even during economic downturns, Freedom Village residents know that their homes at Freedom Village are secure.
