How Does the Returnable / Refundable Entrance Deposit Work?

Because Life Plan Communities require an entrance deposit, monthly costs are often much lower than those in rental communities.

We offer a 90-day Satisfaction Guarantee, during which the Entrance Deposit is 100% refundable to you or your estate.
We offer three options for returning the Entrance Deposit (0%, 50%, or 75% Returnable) based on a 25-month schedule. The deposit can be returned to you or your estate. You may tailor the returnable plan to suit your asset position and estate goals.
Many people use a portion of the proceeds from the sale of their home or other real estate to cover the cost of the entrance deposit.
You may deduct portions of your entrance deposit and monthly costs on your federal income taxes. Current IRS rules treat portions of these fees as prepayments of medical expenses. Consult with your tax advisor to learn more.
The Entrance Deposit funds your Guarantee of Services and Care for Life. We are all at risk of outliving our savings or having an expensive illness drain our savings, but this contract protects you. You will never need to move out should you run out of money through no fault of your own.
